City Finals Day and Week Commencing August 27th                

 
The City League Finals Day were held today at Nettleham BC.
A full day of Bowling saw Maria Clarke and Michael Thompson win 3 titles.

The Season is almost over with just a few games left in the afternoon leagues this week.
Evening League
With just 1 result outstanding in Section A which will not change the outcome of the League. Sleaford Town have retained their Section A Title by just 6 points from St. Giles. Heighington found life in this Section hard and make a quick return to Section B. Collingham are also relegated.
Dunholme are Section B Champions with Moorlands Railway finishing as runners up. The next 6 places were very close with just 11 points separating 3rd place and bottom. In the end Cherry Willingham and Leadenham are relegated.
Eslaforde continue their march up the Leagues winning Section C in their 2nd year in the City League by 20 points from runners up Nettleham. Just like Section B the rest of the league are separated by just 14 points. Skellingthorpe and Navenby are relegated.
Section D champions are Thorpe on the Hill with 1 game left to play. Brant Road have to play Thorpe in their final game needing 8 points to pip Carholme for the runners up place. Waddington who have struggled to turn teams out all Season take the wooden spoon.
Afternoon League
Section A
Lee Road lead Section A by 11 points from Monks Road who have a game in hand. Nettleham A are 3rd. Nettleham B, Heighington and Ruston are fighting to avoid relegation.

Anyone of the top 5 Teams can still finish as champions of this Section. 2 of the last 3 Teams can be relegated. This is the most competitive of all the leagues.

Norman House are Champions of Section C thus doing a League and Cup double having won the Afternoon KO yesterday. Cherry Willingham A are runners up. Hykeham B are relegated.

Eastgate, Bardney and Bassingham can still be promoted with the last games played to decide. Washingborough B take the wooden spoon as Swinderby failed to play any of their away games and have had all results deleted.
