Geoff Edson from Danny Brown

I'm extremely sad to have to inform our members of the passing of former Club Committee Chairman Geoff Edson on Friday 20th July 2018 at his home.
Geoff was our Club Chairman at Lincoln IBC from 2004 to 2007 and was Team Manager when Lincoln won the Denny Cup Trophy for the only time in their history at Stanley IBC in 2004. His leadership qualities had as much to do with that success as the quality of the players and this was an attribute Geoff possessed throughout his adult life, whether in football or in bowls and he will be greatly missed by a lot of people and organisation for whom he gave his time.
Geoff's funeral arrangements are now known - his service will be held at the Lincoln Crematorium on Wed 15th August at 11.50am and all of his many friends are welcome to attend. (I'm not sure there will be room inside to be honest!)
There will then be a gathering back here at the bowls club afterwards.
