Easily through the preliminary round today winning on all rinks at home to York setting up a 1st round clash on Sunday 18th November away to Hornsea
Lincoln 16 points York 0
Penny Strong in the ladies two wood singles was first to finish winning by 21 shots to 5 against M Ellis setting up the aggregate in case points ended all square.
Alan Watts in the men’s two wood singles was next off the green in a much closer game against J Whilely winning by 21 shots to 18 after 30 ends were played before the winning shot was delivered.
Kath & George Draper got off to a flyer against H Robinson & S Walton in the mixed pairs after 5 ends we’re 10-1 up at 10 end the difference was still 10 with the score 16-6 at 16 ends the York pair called it a day with the score 24-10 to Kath & George
With the mixed trips 4 ends to play and the mixed rinks 3 ends left to play they also followed by shaking hands with the scores:
Louise Catchpole, Ben Wilson & Tony Gilroy leading by 18 shots to 15 at 14 ends against P Parson, M Wood, J Bird
