Covid-19 Steering Group 11th September 2020 from Danny Brown

At their meeting this evening the group agreed the following key points for the week ahead:
ALERT LEVEL
The CLUB ALERT LEVEL will rise to 4B - This allows for League bowling to resume (Scheduled from Wednesday 16th)
FACILITATING COMPLIANCE
A team of COVID FACILITATORS will be briefed and on hand from Wednesday at each League session to assist members to comply with 2m distancing and covid safe procedures on the bowling green.
BOWLS FORMAT
As a late change of strategy it was decided that Two Bowl Triples will be played in the Morning, Afternoon and Early Evening Leagues. 21 ends with respotted jacks or 1 hr 45 minutes.
This will assist the club with a number of issues, not least assisting compliance to distancing when clearing the head and will avoid the 'third bowl sticker' conundrum!
SCOREBOARDS
Upon return of League bowling, the scoreboards can be operated using the on-rink scorepads (which will be cleaned at the end of the sessions)
Only the AWAY NUMBER TWO is to operate the scorepad.
TIMERS
The timer will be set at 1hour 45 minutes at the start of the game by the AWAY LEAD. All games will start at the bar end and timers will be on the bar end tables behind each rink.
LOCKERS
Will remain out of bounds (except for retrieving bowls for the first time)for the time being. The issue of Locker access will be reviewed weekly and may be relaxed depending on member's adherence to the distancing rules.
