The Lincoln Indoor Bowls Club Web Site - League page

The league page is the same design for both indoor and outdoor areas of the web site just having separate databases for the detail. In each, the web server waits until the Season, League and Division are selected then the Games, Tables or Teams button clicked. It (the server) then "digs out" the appropriate data from the appropriate database and "builds" the page to display:

• Games - A list of all games for the currently selected season/league/division are displayed. Note:
  1. - There is a checkbox in each line of the games list that is checked if the game has been set to "played" and therefore has a valid score. Only games with this check box checked are used to calculate the tables.
  2. - There is a drop down list box from which you can select a team, then press the "Filter for team" button. The list then filters to display only games that involve the selected team. You can them press a "Display printer friendly version" button. This displays the list without all the headers and left column decorations. Use your browsers return button to get back to the league page. You can then press the "Clear Filter" button to return to the full list of games.
  3. - The list only displays the first 20 games when first opened. At the bottom of the list are a series of numbers that you can click to take you to additional noticeboard items. The idea is that items are displayed in date order
• Tables - The league table for the currently selected season/league/division is displayed. The are sorted by points (descending), then shot difference (descending), then shots for (descending), then shots against (descending). Once again there is a "Display printer friendly version" button. This displays the table without all the headers and left column decorations. Use your browsers return button to get back to the league page. If there haven't been any games played (or rather no games recorded) there won't be a table available.
• Teams - A list of the teams that are entered for the currently selected season/league/division is displayed. You can click on the "View team" link in each team item to view extra details about the team.

There may be a notice displayed at the top of the page. This notice is common to all divisions in the league and enables the administration to pass information to the viewer.
