OVER 60's DOUBLE RINKS               from Gordon Wood

LINCOLN played their first fixture home and away to HORNCASTLE.

Representing Lincoln away were George Draper, Mike Smith, Gordon Wood and Mace Andrews.

and at home Mick Thompson, Trevor Hallam, Nick Martin and Neil East.

The away game started close and was fairly tight all the way through although we felt confident that we would win as the Horncastle skip was saving quite a few shots for his side, without playing that well. Finally we ran out winners by 7 shots.

Meanwhile at home we were struggling in the early stages as word filtered through that the Horncastle away side were maintaining a small lead at Lincoln mainly due to the skills of LINCOLN and HORNCASTLE bowler Norman Burton. However the Lincoln rink stuck at it pulled back and took a lead late on and ran out winners by 4 shots.

Next up LOUTH who may prove equally, if not more difficult.
But with LINCOLN's 2 new rinks having now played and won together, hopes are high.
