Pairs comp and valuation day from Howard Jarrold
|
Thank you to those of you who played in the Golding Young competition today and to all those who listened to Colin Young. A good few took advantage of the free valuation and I was pleased to see a few ' nice pieces' emerge. I got quite excited when a Chinese Koro came out of a carrier bag and on closer examination it didn't disappoint . It was a good day and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.
On the bowls front I noticied a few new faces . A good place to start competition play. The two woods, 8 ends format is a bit brutal seemed to be the opinion of those first time players. Yes it is but it's the same for all and you have to hit the ground running.
Well done to the club for charging yesterday prices. Much appreciated
