LIBC Super Imps from Howard Jarrold
|
Junior Club Advance Notice
Part of the success of the Open day was the number of youngsters that came along. Past experience has taught us that we need to keep them interested and make sure that they have fun whilst at the same time learning the basics of bowling. Betty and myself will be at the club on Sat. morning 20th Oct ( from 9am ) and joining us will be Hannah Urquhart , who has agreed to help. Hannah will be a great help in bridging the divide between the kids and us old fogeys. I am delighted to have her help. Thank you Hannah. I have lots of ideas on how to make things more interesting but these ideas tend to have their origins in the dark ages. So I will stick to the bowls and take advice from others on what youngsters want. This is where I appeal for suggestions. If any of you have ideas on how to build a team that has fun and at the same time is grasping the game of Indoor bowls, please let me know. To kick things off we intend to create a club which will have its own identity . It will be 'LIBC Super Imps' and we need ideas for the design of their own club shirts. So if you are one of the youngsters that came along on open day, or you are an adult member that can introduce a son or daughter, grandson or grand-daughter or A. N. Other to the Super Imps, please get in touch. Super man and Super woman along with all the other comic book heroes are all welcome to try and become the one that will be picked. There will be a prize for the best one. Help spread the workload and enjoy the buzz of kids improving as a result of your efforts. Speak to Danny or myself. Your help will be much appreciated. Howard
